Brinkley Heights Urban Academy is a private Christian School for at-risk inner-city children. Brinkley Heights Urban Academy (BHUA shortened) is an interventionist type of school with an emphasis on early intervention through early childhood education. BHUA's focus is on educating the "whole" student in a nurturing and safe environment where academics, social, and spiritual growth is pursued with fervor. As a member of the Street School Network, BHUA is a part of a national network of schools that provide personalized education, a moral code, and tools for self-sufficiency. BHUA is also a member of the Tennessee Association of Christian Schools and the American Association of Christian Schools. BHUA is accredited by Cognia/SACS.

The school's vision is to develop strong Christian men and women who will plant themselves and their families in this community and take up the challenge to reclaim the streets of their community.
